All green dogs are fully evaluated by K-9 International and deemed suitable for training in police work.

Patrol dogs supplied by K-9 International are trained in obedience, tracking and civil bite work. We train the dog under a multitude of real life scenarios, such as building searches, nighttime training, multiple suspects, protection of the vehicle and handler, and suspect apprehension. Patrol trained dogs are indifferent to gunfire. We place a high emphasis on training the dog with hidden sleeves and muzzle work. At K-9 International our goal through training is to produce a dog that is totally reliable in any situation.

K-9 International makes use of a dog's play and retrieval drives to teach narcotic detection. besides being trained on K-9 International's 5 acres site, we have access to outside commercial facilities to further create real life scenarios. Dogs are trained to indicate on 3 odors: Marijuana, Heroin and Cocaine. Upon completion of training at K-9 International, dogs will be ready for certification by your department.

Dual-Purpose dogs are trained in both patrol and narcotic detection.
